- Your deposit sits in escrow and is fully refundable until your block starts.
- If deposits for fewer than 16 nodes are in escrow by December 15, 2026, every deposit is returned.
- If nodes are not delivered within 90 days of your block's start, the undelivered portion is refunded.
- You can transfer your block to another YC company.

Who can apply?
Companies from any Y Combinator batch. Pick yours in the form, or Other / alumni.
How does selection work?
OpenRelay reviews every application and selects companies for each start quarter. If you are selected, we email you the deposit, the deadline and payment instructions.
What counts as a business day?
Monday to Friday, excluding US federal holidays. The day you are selected does not count. The deadline is 11:59 PM Pacific on business day 7.
How is the deposit held?
In escrow, paid by wire or ACH. The selection email has the instructions. This site never asks for bank details.
What if we miss the deposit window?
The selection expires and the capacity goes to other companies. If you need more time, email us before the deadline.
Can we change the start quarter?
Before selection, tell us in the notes or by email and we can select you for a different start quarter. Selection fixes the quarter and its price.
Where is the data center?
In the United States, in a tier-3 facility. Selected companies get the exact location.
What about storage and networking?
Nodes connect over InfiniBand XDR. Shared storage is quoted separately: tell us how many TB you need in the form.
